As you know the chemotherapy that my oncologist used, Xeloda, didn’t work and I have moved on to “plan b”. You probably also know that I have also been battling with some of the side effects as well. So, now that I’ve moved on I wanted to keep everyone informed and so here is my Chemotherapy Plan B Update.
I am now taking Xeloda AND Temodar together. They are both a form of chemotherapy and as you know from my previous post it has been very successful in clinical trials. In addition, it has been very well tolerated by most people. I can say that I have been very lucky and I have not experienced many side effects so far. Temodar is known to cause nausea but, it seems that I haven’t had these issues. I have been fatigued and had the shakes but, I’m not sure if that’s the drugs or the cancer. Oh, I forgot to include this, I also read that you can get the shakes because your electrolytes are low which is why I started eating lemon rice.
Keep your fingers crossed for me that this works, 🙂
