Previously, I posted the recipe for my “Kaboom Juice” and my newly begun juicing regimen. I have increased my juicing efforts since then and have increased my veggie consumption as well.
I have been pounding down Bolthouse Carrot Juice when I don’t have fresh juice. In addition, I am eating a clove of fresh garlic every day. I take the garlic and cut it into pieces and swallow it like a pill. In addition, I am eating about half of an onion everyday as well. My daily breakfast has gone from Eggs, Cheese and Buttery Toast to a number of more cancer friendly options such as:
Cottage Cheese with cut up fresh fruit
Steel Cut Oatmeal with Fresh Fruit ( love apples, bananas and raisins)
Cream of Rice Cereal with Fresh Fruit
Stay tuned because I am still modifying my diet to include more fruit and veggies.
If you remember, the juice recipe that I posted was mostly carrot based. You can read the original post here. Since then, I have been reading about the benefits of various veggies and their cancer fighting superpowers. 🙂 As it turns out, beets are the hero and carrots are the sidekick. I have found out that beets are much more effective in fighting cancer than carrots are. So, I am changing the quantities of my juice recipe around a bit. First, take a look at this video regarding which vegetables are most effective in fighting cancer.
So, here’s my new recipe that flips the carrot to beet ratio on it’s head.
Kaboom Cancer Fighting Juice Version 2: (There may be a version 3)
By the Glass
1 large carrot
1/2 an apple
3 celery stalks
1 small piece of ginger (about the size of a quarter) or 3 if you want official “Kaboom Juice”! 🙂
Big Batch (About 7 to 8 servings, 8 oz. each)
8 large carrots
24 celery stalks
8 small piece of ginger (about the size of a quarter) or 24 for official “Kaboom Juice”! When I make large batches of juice then I just put the chunks in rather than cutting them. 🙂
I have to tell you…I really like my second version of the KABOOM Juice. It tastes much better. The apples sweeten it up a bit and the cukes add a bit more water to the mix so the taste is a bit lighter. I think you’ll really like it so, give it a try!
To you health!
