A patient with a neuroendocrine tumor (NET) has a rare form of cancer. The treatment at our center consists of the administration of the radioactive labeled protein lutetium octreotate. In this way it is possible to treat these tumors with precision. Due to this focused treatment patients often experience a relief of symptoms, leading to an improved quality of life. In order to qualify for Peptide Receptor Radionuclide Therapy the patient must meet specific criteria. The result of the treatment partly depends on the incorporation of the radioactive protein through the receptors on the tumor. Read more about PRRT treatment. Read More
